Music Therapist
Personalised creative therapy sessions for emotional wellbeing and personal growth. I’m a qualified, HCPC-registered Music Therapist with over 5 years of clinical experience working with people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. I've worked in mental health hospitals and clinics, care homes, refugee centres, neurorehabilitation settings, schools and community centres. I use music as a creative and evidence-based way to support emotional wellbeing, self-expression, connection and cognitive development. Sessions are personalised to you and can include singing, songwriting, improvisation, rhythm, movement, personal exploration, listening and relaxation. You don’t need to have any musical experience or “be good at music” to take part. I also work with the connection between music, body and emotions. As a qualified yoga teacher, I incorporate a range of somatic practices, breathing exercises, movement and body-based awareness where appropriate, always adapting these to your needs and goals. My approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, neurodivergent affirming and culturally aware. I believe therapy works best when we create a space where you feel heard, respected and able to explore things at your own pace. Together, we can use music to explore emotions, develop new ways of expressing yourself, build confidence and strengthen connections with yourself and others. As someone with lived experience of migration and neurodivergence, I’m particularly interested in supporting people navigating life transitions, questions around identity and belonging and neurodivergence. I offer sessions in English, Spanish and Italian.
