Child & Adult Counsellor
Child & Adult Counsellor | BACP-Registered CBT Therapist | 10+ Years’ Mental Health Experience | Safeguarding, Trauma & Family Support I am a BACP-registered Child and Adult Counsellor with over 10 years’ experience supporting children, young people, adults and families across a range of mental health and therapeutic settings. I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT and DBT-informed techniques, while adapting my therapeutic style to meet the individual needs, experiences and communication preferences of each person. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem, behavioural difficulties, neurodiversity, family difficulties and life transitions. I have particular experience supporting children and young people within schools, residential care and family settings, as well as providing counselling to adults in private practice and community services. I am passionate about creating a safe, non-judgemental and inclusive environment where people feel heard, understood and able to explore their experiences at their own pace. I believe effective therapy is collaborative and focuses not only on managing difficulties but also on developing practical coping strategies, resilience, confidence and a stronger sense of self. Alongside direct therapeutic work, I have experience supporting families, safeguarding children and adults, facilitating groups, providing supervision and training staff in mental health and therapeutic approaches. I work professionally, ethically and collaboratively with individuals, families and wider professional networks to promote positive outcomes and wellbeing.
