Adult Counsellor/Psychotherapist

Practical, thoughtful counselling to help you make sense of what's happening and decide what comes next. I offer practical thoughtful counselling for adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or trying to make sense of a difficult period in their life. My core training is person-centred, which means I aim to offer a calm, respectful space where you can talk openly and work at a pace that feels right for you. I also draw on postgraduate training in Mindfulness and Compassion, alongside practical psychoeducation where this is useful. I have been supporting clients since 2016 and practicing professionally since 2018, including work with Employee Assistance Programmes, and a Maggie's Cancer Centre. I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, stress, bereavement, depression, relationship difficulties, illness, loss of confidence, and major life changes. Where helpful, I also draw on an understanding of how stress, anxiety, and habit patterns affect the nervous system, helping clients make sense of what they are experiencing in practical terms. I work particularly well with people who want space to think things through properly, understand themselves better and decide what they want to do next, rather than being told what they should think or feel.
