Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in London and Online: Face your challenges, grow yourself I graduated as a psychosynthesis counsellor in 2024 and now work in private practice in my therapy room, a former shipping container called “The Self Container” as well as at the Psychosynthesis Trust and online. I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life, with a special interest in addiction issues following from volunteering at the charity Waythrough, and, as a gay man, issues facing the LGBTQ+ community. I am accredited by the UKCP as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and I am a member of the BACP and the NCPS. I work with all the parts that make up the personality - thoughts, feelings and the body, as well as what is beyond the personal - the transpersonal - the consciousness that extends beyond the individual. The most important part of counselling is the relationship we will build together – it is through this we will explore what it is like to be two people together. What is it like for you to share your story? What is it like to have the commitment to weekly counselling? What is it like to be met in your suffering? It is through exploring this relationship, and its ups and downs, that the counselling is alive, impactful and personal and can create the space to find healing in your distress. At its heart I find counselling is when someone can tell their story and have it truly heard. Then we can explore the impact this narrative has had on the teller. Do you recognise it as the whole story? and why is it still being told? Is an alternative possible? and what might be the ways this narrative can change going forward? What are the stories the teller hopes their future will hold? Many practitioners write a list of issues they work with. I take a different approach. You are more than a label or a diagnosis, so let’s have a discussion to see how I can be of service to you. I have wide ranging experience of working with clients from different backgrounds, presenting issues, and therapeutic needs. If I think another practitioner will be better suited to your needs, I will happily provide you with some recommendations. I warmly welcome all clients to my practice and work with a wide range of differing ages, cultures, faiths, abilities and backgrounds. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and kink positive and welcome clients from these groups
