Adult Psychotherapist

Friendly, trauma informed therapist helping adults and young people to heal and grow from their challenges. I am an integrative, trauma informed psychotherapist working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism and AuDHD, OCD, family and relationship issues, divorce, chronic illness, health anxiety, Women's health including menopause, perinatal issues and infertility, health anxiety, bereavement, addiction, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, eating disorders, Men's health, forensic issues and more. You will play an active role in your therapy as there is a commitment to building a strong and attuned therapeutic relationship, helping to delve into your challenges and parts of yourself you may not have previously had the opportunity to explore. I aim to support processing and repair of trauma or your difficulties by building enough trust to help uncover more fulfilling ways of living and alleviate aloneness in facing these. I may work with repressed aspects of your emotional and physical worlds, also exploring the relationship between difficulties today and in the past. I have extensive experience working with trauma from my time in NHS Talking Therapies. I have postgraduate qualifications in Psychotherapy at Regents University and Integrative Counselling at the Minster Centre. Before this I worked for 12 years as a Yoga therapist, working with health conditions, including mental illness. My initial background is in Public Law and mediation. I draw from this knowledge and experience to enhance my work with couples and support individual clients to foster healthier relationships by resolving conflicts in a way that honours their therapeutic goals, values and beliefs. Taking the first step into therapy takes courage! Whatever brings you here: anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, a sense that something in your life needs to change, finding the right therapist is crucial! I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation when we can talk through what brings you to therapy, your goals and whether we are a good fit. I work primarily in-person, providing weekly sessions in High Barnet, 169 High St, Barnet EN5 5TD, located within easy reach of High Barnet Tube which has a secure door buzzer with entry phone and a waiting room. I also offer remote long-term work, weekly online therapy using Zoom or by telephone. There is also the option to work in a blended way. This involves a negotiated mix of in-person and online or telephone according to your specific needs and subject to my availability. If you have any special requirements as to the practicalities of our prospective work together, please highlight this in our initial free telephone consultation.
