A gentle space for growth and healing am a Person-Centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with individuals who are aged 18 and over. I have experience working with people dealing with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, burnout, relationship problems and workplace stress. I also have experience helping clients navigate a late diagnosis of autism and ADHD. I started training as a counsellor in 2020 and prior to that I worked for over 20 years in the welfare sector, supporting vulnerable people with housing and finance. A safe, confidential space If life feels overwhelming or messy, or if you’ve lost parts of yourself trying to hold it all together, you’re not alone. Perhaps you’ve felt judged before, or like you had to edit yourself just to be accepted. In our sessions, you’re welcome exactly as you are. I aim to offer a space where you feel genuinely seen, valued, and cared for, not just as a set of problems to fix, but as a whole person. I won’t judge you. I’ll listen with care, offer calm presence, and walk alongside you as we explore what’s really going on. I’ll also gently draw your attention to patterns that may be shaping your experiences, offering space for new understanding and choice. When we feel truly heard and accepted, it can bring relief, clarity, or a renewed sense of self. My role is to support you as you explore what matters most to you, whether that's easing anxiety, navigating life changes, or reconnecting with yourself. I work in a trauma-informed way, meaning I’m mindful of how past experiences can affect how you feel, think and relate to others. I aim to offer a calm, safe and clearly boundaried space where you can talk at your own pace and focus on what feels most important to you. I pay attention to the balance of power in the therapeutic relationship and reflect carefully on my own responses, so that the work remains ethical, supportive and centred on your needs.
